Their eyes are large with a distinctive yellow hue. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOrigin\u003cbr\u003eIt is a rare marine tang native to the Western Indian Ocean, found off the coasts of Réunion, Mauritius, Mozambique, South Africa, and Madagascar. Mauritius is where the majority of aquarium specimens come from, and Meneeka Gurroby, owner of Ornamental Marine World, is the primary exporter. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBehaviour\u003cbr\u003eGem Tangs are generally peaceful but can exhibit territorial behaviour, especially towards other tangs or fish with similar body shapes. They are best kept with non-aggressive species such as clownfish, wrasses, and gobies.
